Zapier lets you connect Freshmarketer to 1,500+ other web services. Automated connections called Zaps, set up in minutes with no coding, can automate your day-to-day tasks and build workflows between apps that otherwise wouldn't be possible.


Each Zap has one app as the **Trigger**, where your information comes from and which causes one or more **Actions** in other apps, where your data gets sent automatically. 


You can now integrate your Freshmarketer account with Zapier by following the steps listed below.


  1. Login to your Freshmarketer account.

  2. Go to Settings > Third party integrations





  1. Click the Take me to Zapier button and you will be directed to the Zapier website.

  2. If you already have a Zapier account, log in. Else sign up to explore this integration’s possible workflows.

  3. Once you are logged in, you’ll be directed to this page.





  1. Now create a new Zap by clicking on the ‘Connect Freshmarketer to 2000+ Apps’ button




  1. Before you start creating a zap, you need to decide on the following:

  • The app from which the trigger is to be fetched from.

  • The trigger.

  • The action that should take place as a consequence of the trigger.

  • The app where action should take place.



How to create a Zap?


  1. Trigger : Say, our trigger is adding a contact from Google Sheets to a Freshmarketer List.

 

  1. Choose your app from where the trigger is fetched.


Note: 


Freshmarketer will be pre-populated as the app for trigger by default. You can change it to any app of your choice.


In this case, this would be Google Sheets


  1. Next, choose your trigger event.



  1. Connect your Google Sheets account

  1. Customize the spreadsheet rows. Upload the sheets from where the trigger information has to be fetched from.




B. ACTION For every record created in the Google Sheets, a new contact is added to a Freshmarketer list.


  1. Choose the app in which the action should take place as the response to the trigger. In this case, it is Freshmarketer.



  1. Choose the action event. In this case, it is adding a contact to a marketing list.



  1. You will be prompted to sign-in to your Freshmarketer account.




  1. Enter your domain name. 


  1. Enter the API key. Go to Settings > API Settings screen from your Freshmarketer app to find your API key.


  1. Once you enter the information, your account will be connected to Zapier.


  1. Provide the List ID, the rows containing the email addresses, and other information that you think is necessary.



  1. Click the ‘Test and Continue’ button to continue creating your Zap.



  1. You can then turn your zap on to update your Freshmarketer lists.



You have successfully created a Zap, and integrated Freshmarketer with Zapier.
