The Build page in poll will allow you to choose the question type for your poll questions.

Freshmarketer allows you to use the following question types:

  • Short answer
  • Long answer
  • Radio button
  • Checkbox
  • Net Promoter Score (NPS)


Short and Long Answer Question Type


Short answer type will allow respondents to give short answer of about a line length. The allowed character length for the visitor to answer is 150.

Long answer type allows respondents to type answers that range from a line to multiple lines. The allowed character length for a user to answer this type of question is 300.

Exporting Responses


For short and long answer question types, responses are collected as such provided by your respondents. Columns pertaining to these questions can be filtered and exported as CSV/XLS file. Also, responses can be filtered using our date filter in the Response tab.

Radio Button Question Type


Radio button question type allows respondents to select one option from a list of options. In other words, yes or no questions are of this type.

Usage

Radio button question type is used when you want to ask your respondents to choose a single option from a list of options. This question type is mostly used when it’s a yes or no question.

Add, Edit and Delete Option


To add another option to your radio button type, click on + button. To edit the already existing option, just place the cursor on the option you want to edit. To delete any of the options, hover over it and click the icon (x) to delete it.

The responses collected for the radio button question type can be exported as CSV/XLS file. Responses for a particular date range can be filtered with our date filter.

The radio button question report is generated as a horizontal bar graph that includes response count in terms of number and percentage. This report is displayed with the following metrics: Visits, starters, drop off and responses.

Checkbox Question Type


Checkbox question type allows respondents to select multiple options for a single question.

Net Promoter Score (NPS)


Net Promoter Score (NPS) helps one reduce churn rate and increase the likeliness of recommending your product to others.

Usage

NPS question type is used when a user wants to check the loyalty of customer in recommending their product or website.


Score Levels

NPS is designed with a scoring scale ranging from 0 to 10. NPS score is categorised in three labels- Low score label (0-6), neutral (7-8) and high score label (9-10). Freshmarketer allows you to name the low and high score labels at your choice.

The Net Promoter Score (NPS) question report is generated as a gauge chart. NPS score is calculated from the promoter and detractor with the formula: NPS= (Percentage of promoters) - (Percentage of detractors).
